It’s February and if you’re anything like me, you have an ever-growing pile of books in your “to be read” list. I started a habit a few years ago of naming which exact titles I want to read every month; doing this has helped me a lot in being more intentional on what books from my TBR list will indeed get read as each new month approaches. If you’re the exact opposite of me and just want more suggestions on WHAT to read at all, then hopefully this list is beneficial to you! Without any further ado, here are the books that are on MY specific list to read this month (other than our PPG bookclub pick: A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas).
- Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid — I actually managed to snag the kindle version of this from my library through some lottery process they have. I don’t really understand it but I guess for a few super popular books, they have an option where you can immediately check out the book but with a shorter rental period.
- The Guest List by Lucy Foley — I’ve heard a lot about this book and The Hunting Party also by Lucy Foley. After months of hearing this author and title over and over, I’m finally biting the bullet and reading this in February.
- Cursebreaker Series (A Curse So Dark and Lonely series) by Brigid Kemmerer — Jensine has been raving about these books for a few years now and I love a fairytale retelling. Unfortunately, I really try to avoid reading series that are not completely finished (I hate waiting to read the ending!) so I haven’t been able to tackle this series … until now! The final installment of the series just got published at the end of January so I’m finally going to get my hands on these books and find out what all the hype is about!
- Beach Read by Emily Henry — Again, another book that has been buzzed about a lot by both Jensine and the internet peoples … I know a beach read doesn’t exactly match a February mood but I could really use something cute and light right now so this is what I picked.
- American Royals by Katharine McGee — True confession: I’ve had this book from the library since the summer … last summer. It’s time to read so I can be good citizen and finally return this to my local library.
