Spring is in the air, and we’re here with some of our favorite spring fling reads for you to enjoy this season. Some are new, and some are tried and true and surprise surprise, most are YA! Let us know if you’ve read any of these before and how you liked them!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
Historical Paris in the spring. Modern New York in the spring. What is more romantic than that? Oh, poetic writing and rich imagery to boot?! Count me in… This story starts a bit slow but is still superbly imaginative, spell-binding and an amazing read.
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
All three books in this loosely connected series are super fun and cute, but this third one is special because you’ve gotten to know some of the characters from the previous books. Highly recommend… I mean I almost named my daughter ISLA because I was so inspired!
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Rainbow was one of my favorite authors when I first got into YA, and her stories are so relevant but imaginative and fun. This is one I keep coming back to, and it’s a short and sweet romantic read, especially for those of us even slightly into fandoms and fangirling!
Shatter Me (Series) by Tahereh Mafi
This series is action packed and so dramatic but set against the most poignant prose. I’m incredibly drawn to Tahereh’s style of writing because it reminds me of my own stream of consciousness (just much better). It’s got one of THE legendary romances too… so… buckle up!
Flame in the Mist (series) by Renee Ahdieh
I’ve only read the first book in this duology, but it’s got a strong heroine, a killer cliffhanger, and an enemies to lovers trope, which you know we’re here for!
We wanna hear… What books scream spring for you?
