Have a teen reader on your gift list this year or maybe even a grown up with teen spirit (it me)? It’s no secret that young adult literature has some of the best fiction picks every year, so here are some of my tried and true favorites from 2020 and beyond.
A Curse So Dark and Lonely Series by Brigid Kemmerer / put this series on your reader’s radar just in time for the final book coming in January 2021, then all you’ll need is a gift tag that says “you’re welcome” (to the best series of the year!)
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson / super satisfying standalone perfect for fans of Harry Potter + one of our top reads of 2020.
Renegades Series by Marissa Meyer / an imaginative superhero series with a kickass heroine and chilling cliffhangers killer for sci-fi fans
Legend of Orisha series by Tomi Adeyemi / incredible world building and a vast landscape give way to intense storytelling of epic proportions; this series truly trailblazed for diverse YA fantasy series
Loveboat Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen / a bit of The Bachelorette crossed with a little Gossip Girl, set in a high school summer camp, and you get this sassy romance ready to chase away the winter blues
American Royals Series / American monarchy, forbidden romance, and multiple royal POVs oh my!
Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer / our favorite vampire gives us his take on how a lion fell in love with a lamb (and how we all fell in love with him)
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares / an oldie but goodie + a great stocking stuffer to get in the holiday spirit to read and then watch the new, oozing with Christmas feels, Netflix series from producer Nick Jonas
